FAA Entry Point Filing Form for the International Registry – Form 8050-135 (also know as the135) This form is used to obtain the authorization code required to register your U.S. Interest with the International Registry. Ask us how we can assist you with your IR needs. Acting Administrator - Person given authority through a limited Power of Attorney to register all interests on the International Registry for a Transacting User Entities. Aircraft engines - Means aircraft engines (other than those used in military, customs, or police services) powered by jet propulsion or turbine or piston technology and: (i) in the case of jet propulsion aircraft engines, have at least 1750 lbs of thrust or its equivalent; and (ii ) in the case of turbine-powered or piston-powered aircraft engines, have at least 550 rated take-off shaft horsepower or its equivalent, together with all modules and other installed, incorporated or attached accessories, parts and equipment and all data, manuals and records relating thereto. Aircraft Object - As defined for the purposes of Chicago convention, which are either airframes with aircraft engines installed thereon or helicopters. Airframes - Means airframes (other than those used in military, customs, or police services) that when appropriate aircraft engines are installed thereon, are type certified by the competent aviation authority to transport: (i) at least eight (8) persons including crew; or (ii ) goods in excess of 2750 kilograms Together with all installed, incorporated, or attached accessories, parts and equipment (other than aircraft engines), and all data, manuals and records relating thereto. Authorization Code - The 17 digit number issued by the FAA required to electronically register your U.S. Interest with the International Registry for aircraft and helicopters. (Documents to electronically register an International interest on engines do not require an authorization code). Aviareto - The contracting company in Dublin, Ireland which serves as the electronic depository to register International Interest on aircraft objects, 24 hours daily, 7 days a week. Cape Town Treaty - Is A Two (2) part document consisting of: The Convention - an international treaty that deals with mobile goods, generally-the language in this document is necessarily broad The Protocol - on Aircraft Objects is specific to aircraft, engines and helicopters a/k/a “Aircraft Objects” Note: The Protocol prevails in the event of any conflict with the convention Consenting Parties - All Transacting User Entities of an interest to be registered. Effective Date - March 1, 2006 @ 12:00 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time (February 28, 2006 @ 6:00 p.m. CST) Helicopters Means heavier-than-air machines (other than those used in military, customs, or police services) supported in flight chiefly by the reactions of the air on one or more power-driven rotors on substantially vertical axes and which are type certified by the competent aviation authority to transport: (i) at least five (5) persons including crew; or (ii) goods in excess of 450 kilograms, Together with all installed, incorporated or attached accessories, parts and equipment (including rotors), and all data, manuals and records relating thereto. Irrevocable De-Registration and Export Request Authorization (also know as IDERA) Form used by the owner which gives irrevocable authorization to the creditor to de-register the aircraft. International Registry (IR) - Recipient of electronically transmitted notices of Prospective International Interest, Security Agreements, Title Reservation Agreements (Conditional Sales Contracts), Leasing Agreements, and Non-Consensual rights arising under national law and priority without registration. International Registered Interest - International interest that has been “electronically” filed with the IR. Comparable to a “recorded” interest with the FAA; however, not the registering of ownership as defined by the FAA. Prospective International Interest - An Interest that is intended to be created or provided for an aircraft object as an International Interest in the future, upon the occurrence of a stated event (which may include the debtor’s acquisition of an interest in the aircraft object), whether or not the occurrence of the event is certain. Transacting User Entities (TUE) - A legal Entities or natural person intending to be a named party in one or more registrations, and a “transacting user” means an individual employee, member, or partner of a transacting user Entities.
